Leapin’ Lizards! It’s the pint-size version
of the Broadway musical about the world’s most
famous red-topped orphan! Designed especially for young
audiences, this shortened version of the full-length
musical “Annie” written by Thomas Meehan,
with lyrics by Martin Charmin and music by Charles Strouse,
retains the same lovable story and irrestible music
that made this musical a staple of American culture.
Set in Depression-era New York, Annie is a plucky re-head
orphan who longs to be rescued from a hard-knock orphanage,
run by the mean-spirited Miss Hannigan. Good fortune
smiles on Annie when Daddy Warbucks invites our heroine
home for the holidays. But will Miss Hannigan’s
shenanigans spoil Annie’s new-found happiness?
